Registration is jurisdictional. If your property sits in any of the villages under Dusi, your sale deed must be presented at this SRO.
Filing at the wrong SRO will be refused. The same rule applies to gift deeds, mortgages, partition deeds, and any other instrument that requires registration under the Indian Registration Act.

Dusi Sub-Registrar Office is open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 5:45 PM. Document presentation for registration is accepted only until 3:30 PM — after that the registrar will not collect new documents, though the office remains open until 5:45 PM for Encumbrance Certificate pickup, fee payment, and inquiries.
Sundays and gazetted Tamil Nadu state holidays are closed. Plan to arrive at least an hour before the 3:30 PM cutoff to allow for token issuance, payment verification, and biometric capture.
